Carucci backpeddling on his former backpeddle....

For once, I agree with Vic and TD, as well as the others who are willing to admit that JP has been up and down.

I expected JP - and the rest of the Bills - to be up and down this season. We have new coaching and schemes, a young D, a mediocre O line, and an inconsistent runner in Willis. JP, by season's end and if all goes well, will have all of 24 NFL startsunder his belt. I fully expect him and the Bills to continue to be up and down for at least the next 5 or 6 games.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Again, we're back to if the media or anyone does say something positive about the team they're automatically wrong or a clown. And if they say something positive about the team, they're exalted and right!

As Curtis Martin said "I'll only talk positively about the Jets....we're keeping it positive."

Agreed. And the low yardage against Miami was irrelevant because he efficiently did his part to win the game.

How many QBs have had crap games this year? Eli, Hasselbeck, Big Ben, Favre, Bledsoe, Warner, Culpepper, Brady, McNair, Plummer, Smith, Johnson, Leftwich, Collins, Kitna, Pennington, Delhomme, Brunell, Frye, Simms ... only a handful haven't.

Carucci backpeddling on his former backpeddle....

This really pissed me off. I remember the start of the year how Vic was backpeddling on his comments about Losman, and how he seemed to have matured in the off season.

Now he says this about JP......

            Chicago 40, Buffalo 7: [Video 56K | 300K]
This is how an undefeated team makes the statement that it is, indeed, the best in the league. The Bears already were receiving such praise. They certainly ranked as the NFL's most complete team, with a dominant defense and an offense capable of making big plays. What they proved against the Bills was that they were mature enough to handle prosperity -- that they could avoid the swollen heads that come with talk that they are the early favorite to win the Super Bowl. They owned this game in every way imaginable, mauling the Bills on both sides of the line. The Bears defense stonewalled J.P. Losman, sending his up-and-down season down again with three interceptions. Willis McGahee had nowhere to run. Rex Grossman didn't have flashy numbers, but he did have two touchdown passes and clearly could have done almost anything he pleased against Buffalo's defense. The Bears running game also was effective, tearing through the Bills' smallish defensive front with little trouble. Great teams pound inferior ones, and that is what happened in this game.

Since when was JP having an "up-and-down season", Vic? And if that weren't enough, look at his comments about Pennington and the Jets, who were destroyed by a Jacksonville team that simply does not compare to the Bears:

            Jacksonville 41, N.Y. Jets 0: [Video 56K | 300K]
The Jaguars defense is good enough to shut out any team in the league. Still, I never expected them to do this to a Jets club that had managed to remain competitive even in games it had lost. Chad Pennington had been the model of quarterbacking efficiency and was looking like one of the better comeback stories of the season. But then along came Jacksonville's defense, which intercepted him three times (with two leading to touchdowns) and held him to a mere 71 passing yards. Jacksonville's special teams also blocked a punt that led to a score. Consequently, the Jags offense didn't have to do much. Byron Leftwich threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns, and Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew combined for 170 yards and three touchdowns on the ground (two by Jones-Drew).

So let me get this straight, Vic. Pennigton and Losman have similar days as well as similar seasons, but Losman is the monkey's uncle.

Just why is that, Vic? I think you can't wait for JP to fail to prove a previous point...something you made last season.

I know some people don't want to believe that JP is having a up and down season but he is.

NE: Could be consider a UP, still JPs saftey hurt.
MD: Maybe a Up, Maybe a Down, don't know what to consider 83 yards passing.
NYJ: Career high 328 yards but also 3 costly turnovers.
                MV: Best game of year
                CB: Worst Game of year

                I agree with Vic.
