All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
For me, it was his first preseason game at home against the Steelers. He snapped the ball, saw Lloyd (I think) coming at him, and did a George Plimpton...ran backwards...and tripped over the 30 yard line. Two plays in a row.
Jimbo was pacing the sidelines in front of me, and I yelled:
"Jim...help Collins pull his head out of his ass!"
Jimbo turned around, looked me straight in the eye, and did one of these...
He had a couple of workmanlike games in 1996 when Jim was sidelined with an injured hammy, Indy, and Dallas.
But after Jim retired, and Collins was handed the ball, it was pretty clear that he couldn't handle the job, despite the fact that the 1997 Bills were 3-2 going into New England. (The Billy Joe Hobart game)
After that the wheels fell off and Levy went with Van Pelt two weeks later.
