    Jauron: "Optimistic about Spikes"

At yesterday's press conference, Coach Jauron was asked about Takeo. He said he was "very close" to playing last weekend and that he's feeling "better than he has all year."

He concluded by saying "we're optimistic" regarding his chances of playing this week.

The press conference is on the Bills home page and the comments are near the end.

    same **** different day.

Like I said before, I'll believe it at 1 pm Sunday when Spikes is actually on the field.

We really needed Spikes on the field this past week. While I understand the severity of his injury, I can't help but be a little disappointed that he hadn't even tried to take the field and rotate out.

It would be nice, but at this point, I'm not really counting on TKO.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?
