If Sorgi's shoulder continues to be a problem or the Colts have an interest in acquiring another veteran, two might be available. Reports have Buffalo willing to part with Kelly Holcomb and Tennessee at least willing to listen to overtures for Billy Volek.
Holcomb lost the starting competition in Buffalo to J.P. Losman. He served as Manning's backup from 1998-2000. Volek has been displeased with the Titans since they acquired veteran Kerry Collins. Tennessee also is grooming rookie Vince Young for the future.

When is this article from, a month ago? Volek has been a Charger for a few weeks now.

Interesting, but probably just speculation at this point. I can't see Buffalo dishing off Holcomb until the off season.

Coach Tony Dungy said after Friday night's preseason finale against Cincinnati that Sorgi will begin limited throwing when practice resumes today for Sunday's regular-season opener against the New York Giants
