J.P. Losman vs. Detroit: Any defense (except maybe Denver?) will look better for Losman following last week's rough outing against the top-ranked Bears. Losman threw for a miniscule 115 yards against Chicago with three interceptions. His lone touchdown to Lee Evans came long after this game was decided. Losman gets his shot at a Detroit defense that has already allowed 11 passing touchdowns and surrenders 265.8 yards per game.
Jon Kitna vs. Buffalo: The fact that Kitna's turnover total seems to rise each week is somewhat disconcerting, but the Detroit quarterback is averaging 38 pass attempts and 261 passing yards per game. He's tossed five touchdown passes and added two scores on the ground which makes him a viable option this week. Roy Williams may miss this week's game with a shoulder stinger, but Az-Zahir Hakim and leading receiver Mike Furrey will be able to pick up the slack. With Detroit's defense forever giving up the big play, the Lions will need to rely on Kitna's arm against the Bills.
