They are saying on Toronto radio up here that the Sabres game may be cancelled on Saturday due to the fact that Buffalo is practically in a State of Emergency. Anyone have any news on that? What's it really like down there?

From an AP story:

Sabres spokesman Mike Gilbert said Friday that while the team intends to play, a final decision won't be made until Saturday afternoon. He added that the Rangers confirmed plans to travel to Buffalo after the city's airport was reopened Friday afternoon and the team was notified its hotel has power.

The Buffalo Sabres will be wearing the team's retro-third jersey against the New York Rangers this Saturday, October 14. This will be the first of 15 games where the team will sport the third jersey. The Sabres first wore the original Blue and Gold in the 1970-1971 season.from my Sabres Insider email
