Look back on the 2003 draft

Good Moves: Taking RB Willis McGahee might seem foolish because they already have Travis Henry and Olandis Gary, but running backs are prone to injury, so if Henry goes down, Buffalo will still have a strong running game. DE Chris Kelsay was a good pick in the second round. OLB Angelo Crowell was also a good pick in round 3. The Bills might have found their third wide receiver with fourth round pick WR Sam Aiken. Seventh rounder MLB Mario Haggan will probably make the team.
Bad Moves: They wasted one of their fourth round picks on CB Terrence McGee. The Bills did not address their need at safety.
New Starters: None

how funny is this look how much better we are off now then we probably would've been if we took a safety.

Bad Moves: I think Carson Palmer will be a bust. The Bengals should have taken CB Terrence Newman or DT Dewayne Robertson.

Bad Moves: The Chiefs didn't have to take a running back (Larry Johnson) in the first round. They could have taken a Lee Suggs in round 4.

I guess that guy won't be offered any GM positions soon.

Bad Moves: TE L.J. Smith was not the best tight end available. WR Billy McMullen may not even make the team. They did not address their need for a linebacker.

I think he turned out to be pretty good.

Good Moves: Trading up and taking S Troy Polamalu was a good move. They took their QB of the future, Brian St. Pierre in round six.

Whatever happened to St. Pierre?

Good Moves: DT William Joseph was a good pick, late in the first round. They drafted a good corner in the fourth round, Rod Babers.
Bad Moves: 2nd and 3rd round picks were duds: DE Osi Umenyiora and TE Vashante Shicarore should have TV and radio announcers baffled for years. They did not address their OT need.

Yeah, that Osi Umenyiora was quite the dud. Is he even in the NFL anymore?

He sure has the TV and radio announcers talking about him...about how many sacks he will have again this week.

I think he turned out to be pretty good.

Vishante Shancoe (SP?) is actually one of the most underated back up TEs int he league in my opinion

Lions: WR Roy Williams and RB Kevin Jones will boost Detroit's woeful offense into the upper echelon of the NFL

Bills: Good Moves: Buffalo fans hope that WR Lee Evans can replace Peerless Price. QB J.P. Losman will start by 2005, barring an MVP type season from Drew Bledsoe.
Bad Moves: Losman is the second first round pick in the last two years that will not play in his initial season (Willis McGahee). Other than the two first round selections, the Bills did not impress.

I believe St. Pierre was the 3rd stringer in the bills/steelers game 2 years ago that totally made our D crap the bed. He was the 3rd stringer in Pittsburgh, until just a couple days ago, they released him.

No, he's currently umemployed. Early in the season, he resigned with the steelers when Ben had his appendectomy but was cut by the steelers once again a few days ago.
