The NFL has tagged linebacker Brian Urlacher with a $5,000 fine for what the league determined was a helmet-to-helmet blow to quarterback J.P Losman on the Bills' next-to-last play in the closing minutes of last Sunday's 40-7 rout of the Bills. Urlacher was penalized for roughing the passer on the play and becomes the second Bear in three weeks to be fined for a hit.

As well he should have. That was a pretty nasty hit and really unnecessary that late in the game.

I can't wait to see that Dallas fan (Bears poser) this week. It was an Urlacher jersey he was wearing. :snicker:

I want to see what Leinart does against the Bears. Can you imagine being fresh out of college second game in the NFL going up against that Bears D with Arizonas line :candle:

No. The Jacked-up hit was from behind if I recall correctly. The Urlacher hit was straight up in front as he lowered his head right into JP's chest.

Clearly an illegal hit. I almost think hits like that should result in a suspension, or a player being thrown out of a game, but then on the last drive at the end of the game, that wouldn't have made a difference.

Intentionally injuring a QB is absolutely unacceptable, even if it's Tom Brady.
