All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Find a guy off of this year's roster and compare him to someone in the past-
Jason Pominville = he reminds me of a young Danny Gare
When he netted that OT goal vs the Sens in last year's playoffs it reminded me of Gare's OT goal that knocked out the mighty Montreal Canadians in 1975

Danny Briere=Stu Barnes
But as we know Briere is a much better player but they skate the same..

Pominville reminds me of Craig Ramsay, smart defensive player, can score goals too. Maybe Don Luce would be a better comparision, but Luce was a center and I like the Luce - Drury comparison.
Vanek and Dave Andreychuk. Andreychuk had a lot of pressure put on him to be somewhat of a savior and score a ton of goals. He wasn't a great skater but got himself into position to score a lot, would stand in front of the net and had great hands around the net.
Afinogenov and Gilbert Perrault. I loved Gil, but he at times would be maddingly unselfish with the puck and not shoot enough when he had the chance. He could have scored SO many more goals. Obviously the stick handling too and it was near impossible to know Gil off the puck. Of course Gil was a MUCH better player.
Danny Brier and Pat LaFontaine. Both little guy fearless of going over the middle.
