Hard to point out any flaws, that kid is playing some ball against the best team in the NFL. 8/9 for 79 yards and 2 TD's behind probably one of the few lines worse then ours.

Yeah, very underappreciated player. Big dude, too.

You hear about Sean Taylor all the time because he is a 6-3, 230# S that hits hard. Of course, he also takes 3 stupid penalties a game and gets out of position routinely.

Wilson is also a 6-3. 230# who hits like a truck and is all over the field, but you never hear his name because he plays for Arizona.

I have him in a sim league so I have followed his progress the last two years, hes probably the best blitzing S in all of football.

BTW, for the record, I said after the Pats played Leinart in preseason (back in August) that he was going to be a real good QB and you guys would regret not drafting him.

I wasn't that high on him coming out of college because I thought he was made to look better than he was by playing with great talent at USC. However, you don't have to watch him very long to realize he has unusual poise, is very mobile and very accurate. He throws as accurately on the move, rolling out to either his left or his right. That is very rare for a QB.

He is the real deal.

Just saying...

Gerald Hayes had a hell of a first half tonight. I like the kid, big, tough, run-stuffing MLB. I love his size (250#) and toughness inside.

I thought he was going to be a pretty good player coming out of Pitt, but he didn't really play well and then blew out his knee last year. He looks really good tonight, running well and looking like his knee is OK.

He signed a 1-yr RFA deal this year, and will be a FA. There's a guy I'll keep an eye on, given the Pats need for a younger player at ILB.

Cards might lose this still, If they keep playing so conservative they are just begging the Bears to make a comeback.

Ickybaluky
10-16-2006, 09:33 PM
Actually, the Cards have some real good defensive players. Hayes, Wilson, Dansby, Rolle, Berry, Dockett. The young CB Green has potential as well. Gabe Watson can take up space and has talent, if they keep him motivated. Pretty good core of defensive guys to build around, they just need some additional depth.
