It looks like the Bucs are trying to make a trade before the deadline...... they have someone in particular in mind, it really sounds like it could be Clements, I mean there cant be that many high profile players on the trading block.

I hope it's Andre Davis.

I'd like to see Clements traded. He isn't doing us much good on the field at the moment and since we're gonna lose him to FA at the end of the season, I'd rather get something from him now.

If we get McFarland to help with the run game and a little with the pressure, combined with Hargrave, our DL will be significantly upgraded.

They want the rights to Ryan Neufeld. He'll put them over the top.

McFarland and Brian Kelly for Clements would be a good trade for us. Plus Kelly plays the tampa 2 already obviously which is a huge bonus.

I know this isn't happening. Why don't we just call the local sports director in Kalamazoo, MI. This is all the media news that's available 5 hours before the trade deadline?!

oh I know it's a pipe dream. It makes too much sense to actually happen.

We have a better shot at beating NE than this trade happening. Clements doesn't play hard enough to not get hurt, get's his money, and we get nothing. That's the team I have grown to love.

Buccaneers | Could be active as trade deadline approaches
Tue, 17 Oct 2006 10:29:03 -0700
Buccaneers.com reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/35/nfl">Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Jon Gruden (http://www.kffl.com/player/1984/nfl) admitted the club has targeted a few players that they'd like to acquire before the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) trading deadline Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. EST. "We're always going to be in a position to make deals, I hope, if we feel like a deal can help our team," said Gruden. "And we are looking into some specific players in the league – not everybody, but we are targeting specific players and the opportunity, of acquiring them. I am not going to speculate on defensive players, offensive players, or future draft picks. There are specific guys that we would like to have – that's all I'll say."

Tampa just signed CB Phillip Buchanon. That might take them out of the market for a CB.

just like I said yesterday- teams would rather take a chance on Buchanon for next to nothing than absorb Nate's ludicrous salary.

very true but he's also light years more expensive. You can get very little and pay very little, or get mediocre play for top dollar.
