    It wasn't enough.
With the way that team is playing they need all the goals they can get.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too worried if I were a Pens fan. That team is going to explode very soon! Crosby was awesome in his rookie year, Malkin is obviously coming around quickly. Staal sounds like a solid player, and Fluery is getting better in net. Yeah, this team is going to have some success. Maybe not this season, but soon!

yea, it was a BS goal. Brodeur clearly had it covered and Malkin shoved his stick in em to knock it into the net.

I have nothing against the penguins, and I'm not fan of the devils, but I didn't like the call.

If they Score More than You Do.. You Lose the Game..

Malkin and Crosby can score all the time, and as long as their defense and goaltenders keep letting more than malin and crosby score in their net, they are gonna keep losing... Washington too

There will be plenty more goals from Malkin. Like Ovechkin before him, Malkin is a great Russian player. The good news about his debut is that he'll be playing the night I sit behind the Pens' bench in San Josè in November.

The time he missed will not impact his Calder drive at all. I still predict he'll win the trophy, but he'll continue to be pressed by Matt Carle.

Another one tonight, making him 3-for-3. Staal scores 2.

Just like I said last year---Malkin is as good as advertised. He had been tabbed as being better than Ovechkin, and we all remember what Alexander did in his 1st NHL season.

                      This is just the beginning!

Another amazing goal for the 2006-07 Calder Trophy winner! It was a nice one, too.

                          Somebody has to say it...

Screw the Penguins! What's with the the Love-Fest? You guys should be ashamed of yourself.

The Penguins are proof that if you suck bad enough and long enough, not to mention sucking off Bettman to win the rigged Crosby Lottery you might be able to score some goals. Who was really surprised the Pens got the first pick? How good would the Sabres be if they had won that lottery? If the Pens had the 11th pick, they would have folded already.

Malkin signed a legal contract with a Russian team, but Bettman, looking for more Penguin head, allowed them to break the law and steal him. It's OK, we're America, we'll do what we want.

Then Sabres fans, who somehow have forgotten that the Pens knocked us out of the playoffs on May 11, 2001, which caused Hasek to demand a trade for a bag of pucks, which killed the Sabres for 3 years, are tracking the penguins progress with religious fervor?

Who ***** cares about Malkin and Penguins? Are you guys hoping to join Bettman for a little Penguin Bukakke?

Sabres are 9-0. Focus on what's important.

                            Re: Malkin scores

I have always enjoyed watching the Russian players. Malkin is another one in a long line of great Russians. And, unlike a certain player on Buffalo from Russia, Evgeni is a complete package---He can skate, he can pass, he has brilliant moves on the ice, and, more importantly, he can finish. It doesn't matter to me that he is a Penguins player, because I enjoyed watching him as a member of Team Russia.

I have never understood the blind loyalty thing, where one cannot enjoy the talent of a player on a team other than my favorite team, because of some oafish/caveman "Me like favorite team, hate everyone else" mentality. The fact that a player I've enjoyed watching got stuck on a team that I am supposed to hate doesn't change my love for the Sabres.

I wish the penguins and their fans nothing but pain.

I hope your boy Malkin breaks his leg.

Is that caveman enough for you?

When the Sabres finally do win the Stanley Cup maybe I'll be more accepting of other teams. Until then they are all threats and will be treated as such.
