Well lets start off with what we saw.
Coaching = v.poor
Offense = mixed
Defense = pathetic
Special teams = poor
Starting with coaching. I now think DJ is not the answer. This is Marv playing Madden. Our rookie coordinators don't work. We are introducing systems we may never have the personnel for. Even poor Booby April the ST coordinator is having a shocker. What to do in the offseason? If they don't turn it around after the bye week then DJ is gone. Who do we replace him with? A rookie or a veteran?
with the offense, JP let himself down again but we also made shocking calls at shocking time compounded with dumbass penalties.
with the defence, the Tampa2 doesn't work, at least not for us. We need an experienced Def Coordinator and get him to work his magic. I'd even welcome Ted Cottrell with open arms.
With Special teams, ok at least the kicking crew are working.
In the off season we do this in the draft:
1. QB or LT
2. LT or QB
3. LB
4. OG
6. big DT from a small school
7. best available player
and in the meantime I want the next player committing a dumb ass penalty benched and the one after him benched and cut.
That'll stop stupid penalties.
Jeez in any sport you are taught not to give away stupid penalties. I begin to think all our signings/drafted players have to have a wonderlic of over 35
