Niinimaa predicts Habs win over Sabres

With just one regulation loss in their first seven games and a thrilling comeback victory on Saturday against Jose Theodore and the Colorado Avalanche, the Montreal Canadiens are playing with a lot confidence.

Enough confidence for defenceman Janne Niinimaa to make a bold prediction for the team's Monday matchup at the Bell Centre with the first-place Buffalo Sabres.

"The Sabres are playing well right now," Niinimaa told reporters at Sunday's practice. "But they are going to lose a game, and it's going to be on Monday."

Montreal matches up well with Buffalo...they have a lot of team speed also. The difference could be in net. If Miller has an off night, the Habs have as good a chance to beat the Sabres as anybody.

The Habs should've won the first game, but they couldn't hold the lead. Anything is possible, and Montrèal is capable of stopping Buffalo's streak.

As for Niiniimaa---He sucks. He hasn't been anything special for about 2-3 seasons now.
