It can be discouraging when you fall behind a team that’s playing as hot as the Buffalo Sabres, as the B’s found out Saturday night in a 6-2 loss.

No one in black and gold waved a white flag after the Sherman tank known as the undefeated Buffalo Sabres plowed through the TD Banknorth Garden Saturday night.

It wasn’t all about the Sabres’ flawless passing and high-octane speed. There were a few lucky bounces mixed into the Buffalo attack – a goal that deflected off B’s defenseman Paul Mara and one scored by Ales Kotalik after Hannu Toivonen dropped his stick while trying to handle a simple dump in.
