If the NFL draft was held tommorow

If the draft was to be held tommorow, just for the sake of discussion (why not its a bye week coming), my wealthy friend just informed me that the Buffalo Bills would be picking, ironically enough, 8th again on draft day.

No seriously, they'd be picking 8th.. Here is the link
Visit FOXSports.com for 2023 NFL Division standings, conference rankings, updated NFL records and playoff standings. Filter by conference, division, and preseason.

These standings arent in alphabetical order, they are from worst-to-first including tiebreakers..

If you could play Marv Levy right now, and you own the 8th pick, who are you realistically looking at?

If your too lazy to inspect, the top 8 picks as of RIGHT NOW would go.

    1- Arizona
    2- Detroit
    3- Miami
    4- Oakland
    5- Tennesee
    6- Cleveland
    7- Washington
    8- Buffalo

it's scary to think that as pathetic as we are, 7 teams are worse.

        1- Arizona Drafted a QB in 06
        2- Detroit needs a QB
3- Miami Spent $$ on Culpepper
        4- Oakland needs a QB
        5- Tennesee drafted a qb in 06
        6- Cleveland drafted a qb in 05
        7- Washington drafted a qb in 05
        8- Buffalo.....?
I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
        It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

if we pick 8th, we'd get either SMith or Brohm.

          Done deal.. See ya, JP

what makes you so sure that Marv would pull the trigger in that situation? It was clear this coaching staff was less than impressed with JP this year, but he still passed on Leinart and Cutler.

Just for the hell of it.

1- Arizona- Their primary need would be LT, especially since Leonard Davis is a FA.. They DONT need a QB, RB or WR.. So I think in this spot they'd either go with THomas (LT) or Moses (DE)

2- Detroit- Cough cough Quinn is off the board.
3- Miami- Either a playmaking WR like Calvin Johnson or a DE like Moses.
4- Oakland- Troy Smith or Brohm.
5- Tennesee- either a shutdown corner or WR.. Not QB or RB.
6- Cleveland- Adrain Peterson spot right here.
7 Washington- Many options to choose from, QB wouldnt be one of them.
8- Buffalo- Brohm or Smith, whomever Detroit didnt take.

1- Thats obviously going to turn out to be a big mistake.

2- In fairness to Losman,I think Levy and staff felt they needed to see if Losman had what it takes to be a quality QB in this league. So I dont necessarily blame them for passing on Leinart or Cutler THIS year.. But I will blame them if they do it again NEXT year.

I dont see Oakland taking a QB. They drafted Walters hoping he would be there franchise QB and he hasnt gotten the playing time. I see the Lions taking Quinn and the Bills taking Brohm.

Personally, I think this franchise is better off winning half of their remaining games, even if it means moving to the middle of the pack.

Learning HOW to win, even if you have no shot at the playoffs, is more important than a higher draft pick and a loser mentality..

Well Walters is getting his shot now, so at season's end it wont be a big mystery.. Oakland needs a lot, just like most of these **** teams.

If the Bills win half of their remaining games, it will be a miracle. We still have to play Indy, Baltimore, Jacksonville, the Jets in NJ and the Chargers.
