View Full Version : Have the Sabres ever really left playoff mode?

If you watch them play, the intensity is there. One of the announcer during the first montreal game said, "it looks like a playoff game out there".

I think the Sabres never really shut it off from last year and want to prove themselves worthy everynight, which I am totally down with, GO SABRES!

You can see the intensity on all of their faces. I was noticing Max's look of pure focus last nite. It's really an awesome feeling.

I actually thought Vanek looked bored. And Kotalik never looks excited, maybe even sad looking. When he knocked that laugh goal in on Toivonen, he didn't even make a happy face. He just skated back to the bench.

Other than that, yea, these guys are crazy.

Oh definately the team has kept the intensity at the same level that it was last year. By not winning the cup last year, and getting knocked out the way that we did with all the injuries, it seems like the guys want to prove to everyone that they truly were the best team last year, and the only way to prove it in any way is to be the best team this year. So far so good.

I just hope they aren't peaking too early.

The thing is, with this team, we have so many wheels that if a couple go flat, it doesn't affect the ride.
