I am sure that CP has posted this numbers some where but I thought I would put them in a thread for all to see.

As of 2/27 the Bills have 69 players signed/tendered (including Peerless Price) and have spent approx $69.9 million (not including cap adjustments such as NLTBE bonuses from 2002 or LTBE bonuses from 2003). This leaves them approx $5mil under the cap. The Bills could free up $5.01 mil by trading Price and another $3.5 million by releasing Riemersma (you have to adjust each of these by $300,000 for the guys who replace them under the 51 limit).

Others that could be released and the savings (players salary minus 300,000 for the guy who replaced him under the 51 limit):

Centers $810,000
Robinson $600,000
Jenkins $450,000
Watson $350,000

If the Bills were to release these 4 players and JR and trade PP they could free up a grand total of $10.12 million.

Now...go shopping.

The players have to be released by today for those savings to count, right?

No, they can be released at anytime between now and the start of the regular season. If they are on the roster on opening day then the Bills are on the hook for the cost even if they are cut.
