John Clayton, of ESPN, reports San Diego Chargers LB Shawne Merriman will play in Week 8 after appealing his four-game suspension due to violations of the NFL's steroids policy. Merriman is expected to play two more games before his hearing Tuesday, Nov. 7, which will determine his fate.

this means the last game of his suspension will be against us...correct me if i am wrong

doesnt help us much considering that they have LT and Jamal Williams but it helps

He can still play until his appeal is settled - but it probably won't take that long to settle.
