Jets | More On Cowart - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
9:37 PT: Updating an earlier story, John Clayton reports LB Sam Cowart's new deal with the New York Jets is for around $15 million over five years. That is a $2 million-a-year reduction from the six-year, $30 million contract he signed last year. Cowart will make $3.4 million in base salary with no signing bonus, but the deal will include $2.6 million in guarantees.
this is great news.. considering this will help mitigate some of the damage that brookings huge contract brought in.
