    Lindell is Mr. Reliable

Heading into the 2005 season there were a lot of doubts about Rian Lindell's long term future with the Bills. Unable to connect from long distance on a consistent basis had the powers that be at One Bills Drive exploring their options at the kicker position.
Fast forward to the middle of the 2006 campaign and the Bills brass is likely trying to come up with their best approach in holding onto their kicker as he's due to become an unrestricted free agent at season's end.
"He's been very steady," said head coach Dick Jauron. "What Rian has done speaks for itself. The kicks have not been easy. There haven't been a lot of chip shots, so he's been exceptional for us."...more

I'll put both hands up, I wanted him gone big time. He's improved vastly, and has turned out to be a solid Kicker. That being said, if he wants much more than he's making now, I'd tell him to pound salt.

I'll admit that I wanted him gone before 05, and I'll admit that I was completely wrong. Lindell and Moorman have been the only players on this team who have earned their keep over the the last 2 years.

Mike Schneck replace Doronbos at LS and suddenly, Lindell rarely misses.

Coincidence ? I think not. Pay Schneck what ever he wants. He can snap the ball into his 40's.

Amen to that! Lindell can kick into HIS 40's, if he keeps kicking like he has been. And yes, I wanted him run out of town on a rail not too long ago, but he really stepped up....
Good riddance Fairchild. Of course, the knowledge of your departure will only make TE more hateable than the typical Bills QB. Good luck, hope we don't mess you up like JP.

Its pretty amazing that a few years ago he wasn't trusted with anything over 45 yards (he wasn't really trusted with anything other than an extra point) and now he nails them from 50+.

Gotta give props to Lindell for raising his game.

I admit it, I thought he sucked donkeyballs. Boy was I wrong!

(tread lightly, Lindel, you can still make the donkeyballs list)

I believe Lordofgun (R.I.P.) ran a large anti-Lindell campaign about that time.

Partly. Lindell did a lot of work for a trainer for kickers in offseason.

Is Doronbos doing professional magic now? I'd like to know.

                            Oh and I wasn't a basher.

Dorenbos is with Tennessee. They signed him about a month ago.
