IRVING, Texas (AP) - Team owner Jerry Jones is disappointed the Dallas Cowboys (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67043) are turning to Tony Romo (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/142729) at quarterback, although it's not because he lacks faith in his former backup.
"I'm disappointed at the reason we're having to make this change," Jones said Thursday.

The change has forced Jones to lower his expectations for this season. He and coach Bill Parcells frequently said during the summer they thought this team could be "special," their code word for a team that could go deep in the playoffs.
Now?
"I have to be a realist," he said. "I hadn't thought or hoped that we'd be sitting here after the sixth game making these adjustments. ... I did not want to this year go to an inexperienced quarterback. I wanted to have the benefit of Drew Bledsoe (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/player/70231). It hasn't worked out as of today. It just hasn't worked out. That to me is a step back."
Jones was counting on the Cowboys (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67043) being a lot better than 3-3 and was expecting Bledsoe to be a big part of their success. Instead, the same problems Bledsoe has long faced - sacks and interceptions - are reasons for Dallas' slow start. Parcells benched Bledsoe at halftime Monday night against the New York Giants (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/67056) and turned to Romo, who'd been with the team since 2003 but hadn't thrown a pass until the previous game.

You'd think they would have known that by now. Some things never change.

Regardless of how bad Bledsoe is ...

Both Jones and T.O. need to :stfu: and get over themselves.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2639551

T.O. said Thursday he already feels better chemistry with Tony Romo (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6624) than he ever did with deposed starter Drew Bledsoe (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2359). Owens even had an example, pointing out his 8-yard touchdown catch against New York Giants (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=nyg) on Monday night.

"I looked across the formation and he looked at me and he knew what was going on," Owens said. "It's just two players making a play."

Did he and Bledsoe ever develop that bond?

"I honestly tried to do that time and time again," he said. "But for whatever reason it didn't happen."

Ragardless of how bad Bledsoe is (there must be an echo in here) ...

Jones - Because the owner should let the coach be the coach. That is why you hire a coach, right?

And T.O. because he's a bore.

I see so its ok for TKO, evans etal to vent their frustrations, but TO and guys on other teams need to STFU?

Whatever, dude. I'm not talking about the Bills in this thread (since the topic is the Cowboys), nor am I trying to pick a fight. Not sure why you are.

TKO should shut up becsue he dropped two balls and has not been playing well either. He should also shut up based on principle; he throws every QB under the bus and takes no responsibility.

I think what Dude is trying to say is that TO needs to STFU because it's not just venting frustration. He is always running is mouth about something. TKO and Evans might have said something here and there, but it isn't a major problem like TO. I don't even think it's close at all.

And I don't get Jones. He's the owner. If he really wants Bledsoe in the game, put him in. Fire the coach. Do it yourself. If he wants to let Parcells coach the team and make football decisions, then Jones should STFU and sit in his press box.

Get it now?

Wait till Romo over/underthrows TO a couple times Sunday. He'll start hating on him then too. It's fun watching the Cowboys implode :lmao:
