Re: Interesting find: Retired Jersey Numbers by team
I think it's odd with all the success the Redskins have had over the years they only have retired Sammy Baugh.
I would have thought John Riggins number would have been retired, Thiesman ? Art Monk ?
And how could the Rams not have retired Deacon Jones, omg there is no justice. lolThe Polian Curse

Re: Interesting find: Retired Jersey Numbers by team
Most teams refrain from retiring numbers as much as possible. They'd have to start numbering players in the 100s. It takes something pretty big to get your number retired anymore...teams have learned you can honor a player without retiring his number. Even when they don't retire a number, they can refrain from issuing it for many years. It was a long time before Todd Collins suited up with the Bills in the regular season with Jack Kemp's #15...and OJ, Thurman, and BRUCE have yet to see anyone else wear their numbers
