1. I think these are my quick-hit thoughts of Week 8:
a. ESPN seems to have renamed the NFL the DFL -- Dallas Football League. Ed Werder's going to be able to buy a chalet outside Zurich with all the overtime he's putting in. I think he's on the ESPN channels more than Katie Couric's on CBS.
b. I wonder if Indy fans, or Bears fans, were out there in the last few days thinking, We're 6-0, and every time we turn on the TV all we see is an endless reel about a 3-3 team.

I bet if all ESPN talked about was the Patriots instead of the Cowboys, Peter Queen would've complained that they still didn't have enough coverage of such a magical dynasty ruled by the New England Patriots and King Brady.

With that said, I do agree with Queen and am also very tired of hearing about the Cowgirls.

Can't stand the Cowboys. Or the Giants. Or the Redskins. Hmmm, each of those teams have beaten us in a Super Bowl. I guess that probably explains why I always root for the Eagles, the only team in the NFC east that hasn't beaten us in a Super Bowl.
