Bills waste no time in signing Posey

The buzz-word in free agency this year is caution but, in building the Buffalo Bills roster, general manager Tom Donahoe has always taken the aggressive approach.

That's why it is not surprising the Bills are the first franchise to lure away an unrestricted player from another team in free agency. Striking quickly in the wee hours of Friday morning, the Bills reached a four-year agreement with linebacker Jeff Posey, who played for the Houston Texans in 2002.

I guess he will be our SLB - or may be they convert him into a rush end. He is listed as 6'4" 249lb, so he is big for a linebacker.

yeah the last paragraph of the article means the most IMO, If we can land Peterson then this becomes a great "support cast" signing.

he looks like a cheap mans Colvin. 5 years of NFL experience. Lines up over the TE. He had 8 sacks last year and 60 tackles. 2 forced fumbles and 1 int.

I agree with you LOG for two reasons. One, the Bills need him or Spikes and Petersen is cheaper. Secondly, we both have him in the first big signing pool...
