All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

On NFL.com, todays poll asks which ex-Miami running back is the best of this group:
Clinton Portis
Edge
Frank Gore
Willis McGahee
Guess who came in last place?
You guessed it, our boy.
Thats not exactly resounding support that McGahee is worth anything more than an average back. Frank Gore? I can see Clinton and even Edge, but Frank Gore?
In my opinion, this simply shows the instant gratification that is the mindset of most people on our country. Willis is hurt, Gore has had some monster games, and as of a couple weeks ago McGahee was among the league leaders in rushing yards. Had they given this poll 5 weeks ago, i bet it may have been different. who knows for sure. however, I'd have to say I'd take Willis over Gore anyday....idk about the others though, they're dang good.

He was leading the league in rushing, but what you are failing to assert is that he had the most attempts out of all the backs. That isnt a knock on McGahee, but his ypc is pretty low for an 'elite' back. The franchise type of backs should atleast be getting 4.0 ypc. However, there are always exceptions to the rule. Eddie George is one of them.

You obviously haven't seen Gore play this season. He is performing the best out of those four that is for sure!
I don't hate Willis. I question his attitude somewhat, but my biggest concern is that he is going to want a mega contract coming up and he isn't worth it IMO...

Totally agree. Willis has the potential to be a great back, it just doesnt look like he is running with an attitude at times. But to be perfectly honest, we havent had a passing game to compliment him. If we could get the right offense set up, I could see him putting up MVP type numbers.
I put Willis in the top 15-20 range. He isn't any better than average.
disagree. I think he's clearly better than average. Not performing at an elite level, but I suspect the OL and our absolute absence of a passing game does not help his YPC.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?
I think McGahee is better than Edge. Edge is overrated. His great years can be attributed to the Peyton Manning effect.
Now, now!! The Peyton effect, certainly has something to do with it. To a degree! I'm not going to discredit Edge's career over one bad season in Arizona.. Plus, if any team in the NFL had an OL worst than Buffalo's, Arizona would certainly be high on my list.. ( Next to Oakland and Houston..)
