I read one fan's story on Billszone about the Bills should go after Trent Green. What do you guys think? I say,why not!

If he were available, absolutely. TG is one of the more underrated QBs in the league.

I'd take him to back up J P anyday

Use your head! Why would we want an ex. vet who knows how to play when we'll have a 4th year guy who's about 45 games away from "getting it"!

Uh, cuz pretty soon he's going to be applying for his AARP card. He's old as hell. You dont put a 45 year old QB on a rebuilding team.

It's okay. It's hard to remember when you've had so many people going through you like a turnstile in a subway station.

Green will be 37 before next season, and has had a serious concussion. I'd rather build the O line, upgrade the TEs, add a quality 2nd WR, and stick with the guy with some upside.

Good point, but I wouldn't mind it at all if he was a stop-gap next year if Dick decides John Paul isn't going lead this team in the future.

Green would be a great guy to groom a young QB under.

Besides, he has had several Pro Bowl years (and phenomenal stats) with a receiving corps that is actually worse than ours.

Why, when you have....

POSITIVES: Nice-sized athletic passer with an NFL arm. Quickly sets up in the pocket, has a short, quick delivery and the pass explodes from his hand. Patient, buys time in the pocket and a tough passer that takes a hit in order to get the throw off. Senses pressure, gets outside tackle and easily eludes the rush, making the throw on the move. Looks off the safety and goes to secondary targets, not forcing the issue or making bad choices. Challenges the vertical game and at the same time makes all the throws. Zips the outs into tight coverage, drives the ball downfield, yet also puts touch on passes when required. Makes plays with his legs and has an aggressive running style when he takes off from the pocket.

NEGATIVES: Throws flat footed at times and as a result will be high of a target. Too often relies on his strong arm to make the play. Holds the ball too long in the pocket and takes unnecessary sacks.
ANALYSIS: A confident quarterback with the tools to back it up, ****** is a physically gifted passer with the ability to play in multiple offensive schemes. Offering a good upside for the next level, he will eventually be a solid productive quarterback in the NFL.
PROJECTION: Early Second Round

I would love to see him come in and compete for the job. If he wins than ****** learns from a decorated vet. If He loses than ****** still learns from a decorated vet. Seems win win to me. However Green is going no where. As far as the age thing is concerned 37 isn't done in a QB position unless of course you're playing behind our line which will end your carrer in 37 seconds

Get a vet who can play now and draft a QB who can play later take over the franchise.

Makes complete sense to me

in the meantime, the Bills would have to seriously put forth an effort to address the OL for the future QB to take over.that was the mistake Donna Ho made when he was here.instead,he wasted draft picks for QB's and thought williams and jennings were the answers.

I'm content at this point to see how PJ finishes out the year, and maybe see how Nall does in a real game.

They have to get Nall in ther as soon as possoble or this team will begin to go into the tank.

Lossssman is ******ing the progress of the entire team.

If this team wasn't so cheap they would have offered Brees a contract.

Don't tell me that a whole team of pro coaches weren't aware of what they had in Lossssman

They knew going in to this season that Losssman's chances of making the jump were slim.

Brett Favre may be available. Can you imagine? I think I'm getting wood.

I'd love it but the chance of winning lotto 3 times in a row is more likely. He would only go to a team that has a good chance to go the SB, not a team that has an outside chance of getting to .500.

Favre is washed up.

And I'm sick of the people concerned with whether he retired.

THe Bills owe him one , he handed them a win.

If I was in charge of GB I would have cut him this offseason.

Trent Green is a student of the game. Don't get me wrong, he has physical capabilities. However, it's his intelligence that got him so far. If ** doesn't work out, Trent would be very welcome in Buffalo, by me atleast.
