    Jason Peters at LT

I admit that I had some serious qualms about having Peters play LT after being an UDFA TE...but he's done pretty well so far...shut out KGB..almost shut out Freeney (Royals screwed that one up)....still plenty of the season left but so far, he faced off against some solid pass rushers with good results
Now he's got #1 overall draft pick Mario Williams to contend with tomorrow

Early in the season the Texans were moving Williams all over the place without much success. Then they let him stay at LT and he's been getting more productive. Some observers are suggesting however that they Texans will revert to flipping him around to take advantage of Terrance Pennington on the other side. I think Peters can probably handle him. Peter's is really light on his feet for an OT. Pennington might struggle.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

saburzfan, if you are going to groan someone, then at least make it a legit groan and not just for spite. Your groaning of the Philster on every post makes your groan worthless.

Mario is still moving around a lot, just not as much as he was earlier in the season. Expect to see him at each position on the line and in pass coverage at times. The good news for you guys is that he's fighting some injuries right now so you're not going to see him at 100%.

all it does is show me I was right to stick him on ignore. Personally, I groan or thank the content of a post...trolls and the like groan out of a personal hatred

Yeah...some foot injury is a big concern right now. Some Texans fans are still expecting a big day for him...but if he lines up against Peters all day, I think we'll win this battle.

I'm expecting him to play well. He's made a few OT's look silly this year. He doesn't have to put up numbers to have a big game as long as he collapses the pocket and strings out runs for the LB's and Safeties to come up and make tackles. The guy has been a big reason why Houston's defense is top 5 in yards allowed over the past 6 games. He commands a lot of double teams and can play the pass and run equally well. He's not a pass rush specialist type player like Robert Mathis.

Peters is in the right place. He's the perfect athelete for that position.

We need some improvement at guard. If we went to a zone blocking scheme, I wonder what Butler would look like at guard. I'd love to see that guy run around trying to maul someone. Just a thought.

On the other hand, we have Merz, who at 6' 4" 340 is more of an isolation scheme guy. I'll look for him to get some playing time in place of Preston tomorrow.

It probably can't be said enough until it actually happens.....

We need some investment in our O-line in the form of a proven vet along with at least one first-day draft pick.

That statement is rediculous. What about Whitner and Simpson? They haven't exactly played very bad thus far and they are rookies starting from year one together. That is going to be one sick tandem in a a couple of years. Marve did a pretty good job in getting both those guys playing and growing together. And we haven't even seen Youboty yet.

Well we haven't seen Merz yet so I will wait but we as far as Willams goes, he should be a dependable DT in a rotation. Hoefully McCargo is healthy next season and is the player we thought we were drafting.
