All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Simeon Rice is going on IR for a shoulder injury the Bucs have one more year left on their deal with the Sackmaster . Bif money at 7.5 mill. Chances are that he will bne realeased in Feb . Cover 2 system in which he plays would be perfect fit for the bills who lack a big time player on the Def front. Question is can Rice still be that type of player at 33 next year ? Thought s ?
Defensive end Simeon Rice, one of the NFL's most dominant pass rushers over the past decade, was placed on injured reserve by Tampa Bay on Wednesday, prematurely ending his 2006 seas
We are rebuilding. We need a young DE who is going to be around for a while. It would be much better to look early in the draft if we are looking to upgrade the position. There are some good pass rush specialists coming up this year. Lamar Woodley, Quentin Moses, and Gaines Adams come to mind immediately.
I live near Tampa, and he has a bit of a bad reputation around here. He's one of those "me, me, me" players, and I for one wouldn't want him on the Bills.
Simeon Rice is the kind of free agent you sign if you think you've nearly got all the pieces in place and you just need on more guy to make a serious run at the Super Bowl. I'm not certain the Bills are going to be to that point in the upcoming offseason, though I do think they might be a playoff team next season.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
I, honestly, have no problems with Schoebel and Kelsay/Denney. It is the interior of this line that needs to either step up or be revamped.
I agree.
Schobel's outstanding. I have no problem with Kelsey/Denney as I think they're playing fairly well, and that their talents fit much better in the current scheme than JErry Gray's. Add in Hargrove, and I think we're pretty good (though not necessarily dominant) at the DE position. Thus, I don't think giving Simeon Rice a pig payday would be a great move for us. The interior is really where we need some help. I think a bid, disruptive DT is just what the doctor ordered, even if it's an older free agent that can firm things up while the younger guys develop.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?
A dominant DT that can handle the middle without help forcing the rb or qb outside will make our DE's play even better. Right now, they are forced to help support the middle.
