College And Draft News
- David Richard, a highly rated freshman prospect has decided to transfer from Michigan State to Missouri. He'll have to sit out 03'.

- Those helping themselves the most at the combine include Justin Fargas (running a sub 4.3/40), Kyle Boller (all-around great workout including a sub 4.6 / 40) and Dennis Weathersby who shed the CB/S label running a 4.39 /40

- A few players who hurt themselves included Derrick Dockerty who didn't seem to want to be there, Ken Dorsey who showed zero arm strength and Rien Long who didn't show himself to be a good athlete.

- Charlie Rogers may have a fight on his hands as far as being the first WR picked is concerned after measuring in at only 6'2 1/2" and 205lbs. Andre Johnson showed up at 6'2" and 230lbs.

- Tennessee WR Kelley Washington was cleared by all 32 team doctors. This could propel him back into the middle of round 1.

Updating previous reports, the Dallas Morning News reports the Dallas Cowboys traded a sixth-round pick in 2004 to the Green Bay Packers for WR Terry Glenn. He's scheduled to earn $1.5 million in 2003, $2.05 million in 2004, $3.5 million in 2005 and $5 million in 2006. He has a $4 million roster bonus due next March, which means the Cowboys will probably restructure his deal at the end of next season or they will release him.

AP reports the Dallas Cowboys have restructured the contract of WR Terry Glenn. He received a five-year deal tailored to help the Cowboys salary cap. Cowboys coach Bill Parcells and Glenn have patched up their relationship since Parcells' famous "she" insult. "Not only are they on good terms, they never should have been separated," said Jimmy Gould, Glenn's agent. "The 'she' comment was backed up by a true friendship right away. There's a tremendous closeness between the two, a lot of faith and trust in one another. When you go through stuff, it makes you closer. To be reunited is a dream come true."

4s wild as teams start trading...Along with the free agent signing period, the 2003 NFL trading peiod opened earlier today and there were several trades right away, all of which included 4th round picks. St. Louis, for example, received a 4th round pick in 2003, along with OG David Loverne, in exchange for RB Trung Canidate; Canidate was the Rams' #1 pick in 2000, but dropped to #3 on the team's depth chart last season. Meanwhile, Green Bay acquired veteran CB Al Harris and a 4th round pick this April from Philadelphia in exchange for the Packers' second round selection. And Cleveland acquired a 4th round pick in 2004 from Buffalo for TE Mark Campbell.

More options for Bears at #4...When it comes to Chicago's first-round selection this year, the 4th pick overall, the consensus all along has been that it would either be a QB or a defensive stud. Now with the release of long-time RT James 'Big Cat' Williams for salary cap reasons, the Bears are hinting they may also consider OTs Jordan Gross of Utah or Stanford's Kwame Harris with their top pick. Indeed, if the season were to kickoff today, the Bears would start Marc Colombo, their 2002 top pick who is coming of a badly broken leg, and Mike Gandy, normally an OG, as their starting OTs. If the Bears did decide to go OT with their first pick this year, though, they might also try and trade down several spots.
