I wouldn't go that far!

Just like every other town, it's a front running town. 4 years ago, the Sabres almost left town without a peep. Now we're a hockey town? If the team wins, people in Buffalo will be rabid.

Eh, I dunno. Im just glad theres still atleast 70,000 faithful, unlike the Sabres fan base which is made up of mostly bandwagon fans.

I went to a game in early december, last year, and me and my friend were the only 2 people in the entire section, and it happend 2 games in a row!! Where were all these "huge sabres fans" then?

WTVH channel 5... CBS out of Syracuse has the Bills vs JAX scheduled. I get that channel on my cable (being in Macedon... east of Rochester). But I hear they can somehow black that out too. I guess there's always rabbit ears.

Hilarious... weren't you the same guys that laughed at Dolphin fans for having a blacked out game? Hypocrites can't show for one of the most defining games of your year.

No good man! Unless things have changed from last year the game won't get picked up until you hit the Utica area. I live just north of Syracuse and whenver the games are blacked out in Buffalo, they are blacked out in Syracuse. FRiggin BS. 2-1/2 hours away and they have to black the game out here??? BS. I have been hearing that if you buy Direct TV and get the NFL ticket you can see the games even when they are blacked out...anyone know if this is true?

I wish if the Bills game wasn't one of the regular games to be shown on tv that we could get a option to buy it like a pay-perview.

Here's a wild idea. If you live local, buy a ticket.

Locals know they can get them from scalpers for lower prices especially when not all tickets are sold out. The post-Thanksgiving game (when many fans are travelling back from visiting family) and the Christmas eve game were the games I predicted would most likely not sell out this year. Jaguar fans are not very strong and the only thing worse than the Jaguars at this time of year would be a NFC team. Miami game has a chance due to rivalries and such but like Denver game last year is likely to filled with drunks.

I think you missed the point. How hard would it be to have 7000 fans between Buffalo, Rochester and Toronto buy one ticket each with no intention of going so the game would be on TV?

Would you pay $45 to see the game on TV? I know I would.

No I would NOT pay $45 to see the game on TV. I'd rather spend it at the bar or at the game if I was local than watch it on TV. In fact I HAVE spent it at the game for every home game other than the last one (too long getting over bridge from Canada that day). It does not matter now if 20,000 people pony up $45, the game will not be on TV.

And it is very, very hard to get enough fans to pony up $45 per game which is why they are sold at lower prices in Rockpile section, in family friendly section, thru group sales, etc.

Is there a way to find out if it's blacked out in my area?

Check with tv station (CBS) who would be carrying it.

Well, I get every Bills game via Global (Canadian Station), even if the Bills' aren't on CBS.

I live about 400 KM from Buffalo, hopefully that's far enough away.

it's a 75 mile blackout radius, and my metric conversion isn't very good, but I know 400km is more than 75 miles so you should be safe.

Well, whoever gets the game should setup their webcam right in front of the TV so we can all watch it.
