    Is Preston....

The difference on the OL the past 2 weeks?

Granted Houston has zero pass rush, the Jags were held in check. Whats been the diff in our OL the past 2 weeks?

Villareal is looking like he was a liability!! Pennington moving to RT might be the difference. The TD run was on the left side where Peters is now!!!!

JP is also showing better rush awareness. He got out of trouble on the big pass to Roscoe.

Yes, Vill was the weak link, no doubt. How the hell is he an 88 on Madden anyways?

a lot of ppl seemed to think Villarial was one of the best guards in the league before the season

IMO, one difference has been their attitude.

Villarial was looked up to because he was a vet. I knew the OL was gonna get better once he was gone. Preston is young and is only going to get better with experience just like the rest of the team. Villarial was done a year ago.

                  Re: Is Preston....

The run game has been poorer but the pass game better due to OL changes - Villarial was a much better run blocker than a pass blocker and bringing in Pennington helped because he was more physical than Peters who faces more speed rushers than bull rushers. Gandy is playing better at guard than Reyes was and that is bad for Bills because Gandy is not locked up and Reyes is.

there's still a long way to go with this OL. It is still average at best. Imagine what this O could look like once it hits it's full potnetial though

Correct, Villarial is a decent run blocker when healthy, but a poor pass blocker. Pennington also seems to have adjusted a little bit and is at least hanging in there and not getting trounced every play. Same with Preston, who appears to be a better pass blocker.

I think it's more of the fact that they are calling more rollouts, shotgun plays and letting JP leave the pocket more often.

Offensive lines tend to do better as the year goes on, while the Defensive line goes under. You rarely see 100 yard rushers 1st week, but by now, there are plenty this week. JMO, but you guys are finally gelling.
