JP was a good draft choice!!

We needed a QB, when we drafted JP, to replace Bledsoe. Eli, Ben, and Rivers were all gone by the time we picked at 11. We traded with Dallas to get back into the 1st to take JP at 24 before Green Bay took him. Schaub went after JP. We could have waited for the following year which only had 2 QB's of note. Rodgers or Alex Smith. This year was Leinart, Young or Cutler.

Looking at where Eli, Ben, Smith and Rodgers are at and the unknown with Young, Cutler, and Leinart we should be pretty happy with the QB we drafted.

Drafting a starting QB is very, very difficult. We should be pretty encouraged!
