Looking at this year lets examine these guys in the order they were drafted.

Manning- Started since week 7 or so of his rookie season. Has been in the same system, same core group of players, great weapons and same coaches. 15 INT's, 58.3 completion %, 6.5 ypa and a 76.0 QB rating. 6-5 record.

Rivers- Didn't start until this year. Has been in the same system, INCREDIBLE WEAPONS, same core group of players and the same coaches. 6 INT's, 65.0 completion %, 7.4 ypa and a 94.5 QB rating. 9-2 record.

Roethlisberger- Started since week two of his rookie season. Has been in the same system, has one of the greatest HC's of our era, most of the same group of core players and decent weapons. 19 INT's, 61.4 completion %, 7.3 ypa and a 72.3 QB rating. 4-7 record.

Losman- Only started 8 games in 2005 and 11 games in 2006. Second system and his first year in a new system with all new coaches. Average weapons. His receiving threats were totally overhauled this season that he still needs to gel with. 8 INT's, 63.8 completion %, 6.9 ypa and a 84.1 QB rating. 5-6 record.

Losman is the 2nd best QB out of them 4 this season. The guys with the most experience in Manning and Big Ben have been struggling badly. Especially Roethlisberger.

Manning and Rivers both have one of the best RB's and TE's in the NFL around him. Rivers have the best of both of them in the NFL around him. Big Ben also has a great WR, good RB and a good receiving TE in Heath Miller. I wish Miller was in Buffalo.

Manning, Rivers and Big Ben all have HC's with many years of experience and coaches who have a lot of success in the NFL in their careers. They have all lead their teams deep into the playoffs on multiple occasions. Losman's surrounding can't even come close to comparing with these guys in the coaching success, RB's and receiving threats around them at this moment.

Losman is in a new system with a HC that sill has a lot to prove. He has absolutely no TE worth a damn to use as an outlet option or to stretch the field with. The only proven receiving option he has is Lee Evans. We have obviously had the worst OL and running game out of the other three QB's.

Manning and Big Ben are on teams that were supposed to be able to make a run deep into the playoffs or for the SB. They have both had many terrible close games with a trio of TO's and boneheaded plays that helped cost their team victories. Especially Roethlisberger. He has been absolutley terrible.

Rivers is playing lights out but also has the best RB AND the best TE in the game to help his cause. A great defense which is constantly helping out the offense.

Losman has nothing at TE to talk about. The only true receiving threat is Lee Evans. McGahee hasn't been able to carry the jockstraps for the other RB's the other QB's have. Many of them problems have been due to a struggling OL to this point which has hurt both McGahee and Losman. The OL has played much better since the bye week and it has lead to good performances from Losman and the running game.

In our last 3 wins since the bye week in two of them Losman has lead the team to victories in the last play of the game. In the other victory he had the game winning points in the 4th quarter by a 43 yard TD pass to Lee Evans.

With the worst surroundings on a rebuilding team Losman is playing much better then both Manning and Big Ben with also far less experience. Losman isn't costing our team games and in the last month has really been coming along and is WINNING games for us in the 4th quarter.

The haters need to shut up and eat their crow. Losman is and should be mentioned with the other 3 QB's in the QB draft class on 2004. He is playing with and much better then two of them this season.

After we shore up the OL a little more and hopefully get Losman a threat from the TE position he will only get better with more experience.

When it's all said and done Losman will be no worse and probably better then the higher drafted QB's in this class. He already is and he's in the worst position at this moment then the rest of them.

For where Losman was drafted and the money the rest of these QB's are making from their rookie contracts we are getting MUCH more value from Losman then the Giants and Steelers are getting this season from their QB's.

Big Ben is overrated. He was a one year wonder game manager for a great Steelers team last season. He has not been a GREAT QB to this point like many has tried to proclaim him to be.

Manning has been overrated but I feel has more upside then Big Ben. His last name is the reason for all the hype he's gotten to this point even with all the TO's he's made so far. Anybody remember his first 10 starts as a pro? Made Losman's first 10 starts look like John Elway.

Losman is faster then all of these guys. Has the best accuracy throwing on the run out of this group and a very strong arm. Is showing great leadership and is getting better by each game. The other two QB's are regressing with more talent around them.

JP is only gonna get better with more experience and weapons hopefully around him next season. He was a late bloomer compared to these guys but in the end will prove to be just as good if not better in the long run. He's already playing better this season then them two.

Lets re-sign JP to a contract extension this offseason while things are going well before he breaks out over the next 2 years and can bolt for another team or cost us much more millions of dollars. At this point we could get him pretty cheaply compared to other QB's. He would still come cheaper in a contract extension then them overpaid and overrated QB's in Manning and Big Ben are already getting.

Good post.

Going into the draft, the "experts" said JP was the most raw of the bunch, would take the longest to mature, but had the most physical upside.

Eli is the worst of the bunch, Rivers is the best. If Roth's team didn't carry him to a Super Bowl victory (what were his stats in that game?), I'd put JP ahead of him.

I don't care what we gave up for JP, we could be the Giants. One of the picks they gave up for Eli turned into Merriman, throw in Rivers and that was the steal of the decade.

JP is gonna be good. He'll never be Rivers good (imo), but he'll be a stud in his own right.
