Everyone has to cover their ass to some extent, why leave yourself vulnerable? I happen to agree, as long as JP doesn't stink the stadium out (knock on wood), then he should be our starter next year.

I think Fox Sports said Harrington may be in line for comeback player of the year. Be careful not to dismiss him.

Joey Harrington was on the right end of a Thanksgiving Day blowout in Detroit for the first time…well, ever. The Dolphins manhandled Detroit, beating the Lions in their annual Turkey Day home game 27-10 in convincing fashion. Miami , quietly winners of four straight, are now right back in the thick of the Wildcard hunt. Harrington, meanwhile, has got to be the front-runner for the league’s Comeback Player of the Year award.

Culpepper? Surely you jest. Culpepper's done. And he's scheduled to make $5.5M next year in base salary, which means he might be cut out-right if he doesn't take a paycut. But with Harrington looking like the future starter, will he do that?

No way he wins, i would go with Pennington, Javon Walker, McAlister, Brees, and maybe even Grossman over Harrington.

i guess your pretty happy with joey having more INTs than TDs huh? i know i would be happy with that.. and a strong 71% qb rating.. that is pretty damn elite.. i would definately be so proud that i would be dogging a team that has a better qb with a lot less experience.

Good call. I'd also take Harrington's supporting cast, with the exception of Jason Peters (Evans/Chambers and McGaheeBrown are a wash IMHO).

Dude, stay away from the drugs. If you think for one second that JP is better then Joey then you are high on something.

Obsurd comment. How many 4th quarter come backs has Harrington lead the Dolphins to? How many boneheaded interceptions do you see Harrington continue to throw? He has more interceptions that touchdowns, that isn't good no matter how you look at it. JP has flat out played him and Culpepper combined, all year.

JP has flat out played him and Culpepper combined, all year.I will give you some of that but to say JP has flat-out played them all year is nuts. Pepper , I will give you that. JP has had his head called for about every week this year minus the last two perhaps. There are probably still some who want his head. I am not saying Joey has outplayed JP but they are pretty close. 4 of Joeys first 7 INT's should have been caught. He, just like JP has played much better the last couple or 3 weeks. Time will tell for both

He had a field day against Detroit, thats it. The rest of his games have been pretty mediocre at best. JP has been inconsistent at times, but he has had more mediocre to good games than Harrington has.

To evaluate JP Losman's play this season, the ups and downs:

NE ( Pretty good day.. )
MIA ( Not a big day statistically, but managed the game very well.. )
NYJ ( Had a damn good day.. )
MIN ( Had a damn good day.. )
CHI ( HORRIBLE DAY.. Even though some of his interceptions were a result of tips from his WR's hands.. )
DET ( Bad day.. )
GB ( Mediocre. Managed the game and got the W, though.. )
INDY ( Mediocre. Managed the game but lost.. )
HOU ( Career day for Losman.. )
JAC ( Mediocre day on paper, but it was really a good day for Losman. Lead the team to victory on the final drive.. )
SD ???
NYJ ???
MIA ???
TEN ???
BAL ???

How would you evaluate Harringtons season so far? There are still 5 more games to go, but so far Losman has been pretty efficient for us OVERALL this year. He sure took some lumps along the way, and he is probably going to take more lumps in future games. But in my mind, the biggest difference between Losman and Harrington is experience. How many full seasons has Harrington played for Detroit? Keep in mind, if JP stays healthy ( hopefully he will.. ) this will be his first full season as a starter.

Honest question, if you could take either Losman or Harrington, who would it be?

It pains me to say it but Harrington is playing pretty good. Everyone thought that he would succeed after he left Detroit and so far he is living up to that expectation. It has been a while since both of our teams have had any type of QB and hopefully we can renew our rivalry!

Joey throws for three TD's in his old house on a day when he's never won a game (Thaksgiving) 200+ yards passing and 3TD's and in your opinion not a big day statistically.

JP Losman throws for 169 yards and one INT and it was a really good day for him???

Given the fact that JP was able to throw for more then 100 yards and didn't have multiple sacks and Int's, I guess I see how you could call it a good day for JP. Gotta love the way Bill fans wear their blinders.

Lets look a little closer....shall we???

Daunte isn't even a factor in this due to his injury, so lets go with the two healthy QB's, one a "starter" the other, a backup!

Joey has only started 7 games, yet has only 6 less pass att then JP in 11 games. Joey has dropped back only six less times into the pocket then JP yet has 24 less sacks then JP. Joey is in the first season of this O while JP is in the third, atleast JP knows his WR's. Want to talk about stupid??? How about the fact that your starter can't do in 11 games what Joeys done in just 7, without ever having one single season in Miami. JP avg. 187 yards a game passing and that's not a fair # because he has two 300 yard passing games and the rest barely reach 100 yards, Joey on the other hand in just 7 games mind you, avg. 245 yards a game. JP has passed for 2007 yards through 11 games and Joey has passed for 1717 on only six less pass att in 4 less games. But you think JP is the better QB, yeah you're right, that's stupid.

How many game winning drives has one of the biggest draft busts in history had this year?

How many games has Joey been put into that situation??? Fact is Joey isn't our problem. We have won 4 games in a row with him in his first season with us, how many four game winning streaks has JP had...ever??? For any team, Pop Warner/HS/College/ Pro's??? Well I don't know about HS or Pop Warner, but never in College or the Pro's. And why don't you stop fooling yourself, if it weren't for the KR against the Jags and the two TD runs by Willis...whom for some reason is getting no credit for Sunday's win, JP would have yet another loss under his belt because he did jack**** against the Jags and their beatup secondary.

You obviously don't know much. JP has had 19 career starts. Joey Harrington has had around 60.

We can run the ball, the Dolphins can't. That's why Harrington has almost as many attempts. The funny thing is that JP is completeing 64% of his throws and "Joey" only 55% of his. JP's YPA is 7 yards a catch, Joey's is 6. And in 7 games he's managed to throw 3 more picks than JP. Impressive.

Funny how the stats are right there in front of you and you still don't get it!!!

Yeah like 32 sacks in 11 games. Miami Can't run the Ball??? Maybe you should be the one looking at the stats right in front of you. JP did nothing in the win against the Jags, no points, but he made sure he turned the ball over!!! 2 TD's for Willis, one TD's for Parrish on kick return and 2 field goals. And again Joey has been with the Dolphins for all of 7 games, as the starter. Every week Joey's numbers improve, JP's numbers don't. One week JP looks like he's turned the corner, the next it's the same ol crap.
