3 of the last 5 games are very winable. Jets, Tenn and Miami. Pull off an upset against SD or Balt (who may be sitting starters with their record) and we are a 9-7 team with an outside chance of the playoffs.

I think 8-8 is very realistic.

8-8 or 9-7 would be a HUGE season. pre-season most people had us drafting first in 2007 lol.

I'll stick with 7-9.

And I think they get their asses whipped this weekend.

Unfortunatley I tend to agree about SD.

Ya, the last time i was this optimistic was before the Chicago game.

we're already better than we were last year and can only get better the more comfortable they get with the new system and each other.

I think it's very reasonable to think we will lose to San Diego this weekend. What I don't understand is why people think the Jets are so beatable when it's an away game for us?

We have a good shot at beating Miami at home and following up with a win against TN at home. The Ravens won't be sitting anybody if the Colts are in the mix for home field advantage so expect a loss there as well.

7-9 looks about right which is where I had it from day one.

However, if we somehow we beat San Diego all bets are off and now we are talking 10-6 as a real possibility. That's how big a win would be this weekend!! Momentum is a huge factor!!!

Hey look if we go 7-9 that is HUGE! We make the right changes and upgrades this offseason and we become a 10 win team next year.

Say what you want but we don't have any "easy" opponents left this year. The Jet's have a better record than us AND already beat us in our house. Miami has done a complete 180 since we beat them in their house. Tennessee looks like a much improved team scoring 24 in the 4th quarter. How can anyone say these games "very winnable"? Hell each game is "winnable"!

If we can win 4 out of the last 6, we should be in an awesome position next season. Even if we finish up 8-8 it would be quite an accomplishment considering we were 2-5 at one point.

There are no easy games for us yet.

It helps when a defender hugs the QB, then lets go. :snicker:

Agreed. I think the Bills team that showed up after the bye would have won at least 2 of the 3 games against the pats, lions, and jets. This team isn't there yet, but its not far from a 9-10 win team.

I just hope there isn't a drop off in the off-season like after the 2004 season.

We play some pretty good teams from here on in.

You never know.

But then again we could go 4-1 baby!!

actually, i'd love for the team to finish out 5-0.

make the playoffs.

That would be fantastic... i just don't think you can win consistently in the NFL if you cannot stop the run.

You have a point but we have still managed to win the last two weeks with teams rushing for well over 150 on us.

I WANT to be proven wrong.

I think you mistake the fact im not a bandwagon jumper (actually im never off the bandwagon), and I can objectively critisize my team, for wishing it ill.

If im wrong here, the Bills go to the playoffs... or have a good year... why on gods green earth would i not want that?

Prior to the Jags game, I was telling my friends (fans of the Jets, Phins and Colts) that we would finish 8-8. And I was even saying they might lose to the Jags. I really think 8-8 is the best bet (and I would LOVE IT! especially considering where we were a few weeks ago), but man, I'd **** my pants if we went 5-0.

I think a win this week could certainly trigger that.

Hey though, this hope thing is pretty fun. I'm having the most fun I've had all season post 2-2 record

Ingtar33
11-29-2006, 03:04 PM
we might... to be honest, the bills haven't really won 'easy' all year... they're a few plays from 7-4 and a few from 3-8... which, as much as it pains me, makes them mediocre...

To count on ANY game being a win, when your home team is mediocre is... not very wise.

will we go 1-4? maybe... though looking at the schedule... 2-3 or 3-2 is much more likely... and that, my friend would make a great x-mas present...

7-9 or 8-8 for a team in re-build/transition mode is not a bad year!

People might complain about how hard the last 5 games on our schedule are… SD, and Baltimore being the big dogs on it… but if we really are a playoff team, we’ll need to beat teams like that, EARN our way in.

It's definitely looking as though I may have to eat crow on my 5-11 prediction. However, I don't see us pulling any upsets against SD/Bal. I think it's more likely we lose to the Jets and Miami (grrr) and beat Tenn. So my new revision is 6-10 at this point.....

I'm not comfortable with any game left on our schedule.

San Diego and Baltimore are at least two levels above the Bills.
The Jets already beat us once, at home.
Miami and Tennessee are playing better as the year goes on.

I'd love to see us finish off the year 5-0 or 4-1, but 3-2 or 2-3 is more realistic and in all honesty it wouldn't completely shock me if we went 1-4 or even 0-5.

i think 7-9 is good 9+ better

Im not questioning your loyalty. I was just simply making the point that we ahve done pretty well with other teams rushing for big numbers on us.

That aside I TOTALLY agree that you have to stop the run and you have to run well to win.

7-9 Would be: Whats new?
8-8 Would be: Step forward, still mediocrity.
9-7 Would be: Much improvement, possible hope for future..
10-6 Would be: WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!

7-9 considering all the turnover this last offseason plus a 2-5 start = a great season to build upon. IF Ralph spends the money.
