Have you seen Micheal Turner run? He'd be a starting back for more than half the teams in the leage. He has a 7+ yard Avg. The Bolts have the best TE in the league, Lead the NFL in sacks, Have one of the fewest sacks allowed totals, One of the best Defense when healhy. Sure LT is huge but they're a dam good team even .without him

Yeah michael turner looks good but he's not the main weapon. Back ups are a dime a dozen in the NFL. When he carries the load full time and still has 7.0 ypc avg then talk to me.

LT is your offense plain and simple. He takes all the pressure off rivers. Defense don't plan for rivers they plan for LT.

So i still say that thier average at best without LT. Yes Gates is one of the best TE in the league but he has no where near the production numbers that LT has.

I'm serious though. Without 21 rivers will feel the pressure from the D. Most d will play a spy or zone to try to contain LT. Doesn't matter though he is just that damn good. Without him I would say that defenses would start to blitz more to get pressure on rivers.

I agree to on some of your statements but Rivers has a good eye and a quick release and unlike Brees from last year he can toss screen passes over Blitzer's to neutralize the biltz. Turner would no way come near replacing LT but would be good enough to keep the running game honest. In the past years he started a couple of games when LT sat out or couldn't go and did pretty well. I hope the only time we have to find out how good they would be is when they sit LT for the fianl season game after having the playoffs and bye locked up. But if that wasthe case Rivers and every stud starter would be sitting also

I hear ya man.. That wasn't an indictment against anyone you or anybody in particular - I guess what surprises me is that only a 2-3 people participate, as opposed to anytime I see one of these threads on another board, and a large number of people seem to.
