    ~Call of the Wild~

    Rick Jeanneret has to be one of the BEST in the league.. he's one of the most enthusiastic and one of the most fun guys to listen to. Even if the game is boring.. you can't help but smile when you listen to him..

    Well here's a link.. where you can listen to some of his more memorable calls this season.. some are hilarious! He's just a great guy.. he really loves this team

                  Yup.. I like that one too!! I like anything having to do with Biron regardless.. hehe..

                  He robbed him blind!!!!!!!! hehe..

                  I like the one with Kotalik too.. "CALL THE FIRE DEPT... SOMEBODY DOUSE THIS GUY.. Kotalik is on fire!!!" hehe.. amazing!

                      My absolute favorite was in the early 1980's. Don Edwards was in net on a Sunday night and they were playing the Canadiens.

                      The game was on TV in the LR, but I was listening to the call on the Radio in my room.

                      There was a mad scramble in front of the Sabre net, and Edwards made the save of a lifetime. The Canadians got 2-3 shots in a row, and the rebound was sitting in front of an open net. Edwards was face down and sprawled out, and all Guy Charbonneau(? ) had to do was get it up a foot into a gaping net.

                      Edwards somehow blindlty stabbed his glove in the air and snagged the shot- (which was nailed pretty hard - Charbonneau wound up on it- he had time)

                      the call went like this........." Save by Edwards,....rrrrreeebound...

                      AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!




                      Then dead silence for about 5 seconds. I thought he fell out of the booth!( must have pulled out the mic cord)

                      I ran downstairs to watch the replays- I still think it was a better save than any I saw Hasek do.
