Now that the Washington Redskins have signed K John Hall, Hollis becomes a priority. I heard that TD lowballed Mike Hollis with a small offer, say it ain't so. Now the Hall is gone...the Jets will do everything they can do to get Hollis in New Jersey. So, IMO...the Buffalo Bills should work with Hollis until they can him signed to a nice cap friendly deal. We don't want another Jake Arians/Shayne Graham thing again.

If we lose hollis there is still plenty of kickers out there with quality NFL experience. We won't have to worry about a Jake Arians/Shayne Graham thing again

There really isn't much out there at kicker other than Carney and Lindell. Carney will cost more than Hollis and Seattle can match any offer for Lindell.

No details were given in the ESPN Report. They said that he rejected the Bills offer & it is not known if they will counter. They also said that the Jets are interested.

That is the link to what the deal with Hollis is. He is looking to be paid like a top 10 kicker. He wants a 3 year $4 million deal.

I don't have a problem with a 3 year 4 mill deal for Hollis

If he had a bigger leg and was more consistent, he may be worth it. He is not a top 10 kicker and does not deserve top 10 money.

Actually, according to NFL.com....he is the 9th best kicker in the NFL. I think that a 3 year, $4 million deal is good and he deserves it. Give it to him! He played for vet min last year! :D

Actully according to the stats last year , he is:
10th in PTS
8th in XPM(100%)
Tied for 3rd longest in NFL
10th in FGM
espn lists NFL kickers in this order(this is done by points) and considering Hollis kicks in Buffalo, i think its pretty impressive:
1 J. Feely, ATL
2 D. Akers, PHI
3 J. Carney, NO
4 R. Longwell, GB
5 M. Gramatica, TB
6 S. Janikowski, OAK
7 J. Elam, DEN
8 M. Andersen, KC
9 A. Vinatieri, NE
10 M. Hollis, BUF

Won't happen. Christie was a better kicker and TD refused to pay him that kind of money.

Please don't lose Hollis for us. Todd Peterson is NOT a substitute for Hollis.

There are a lot of kickers out there... Morten and Gary Anderson, Carney, etc, etc... I'd like Hollis back, but I don't know if I can take his short kickoffs...
