What happened to Digiorgio or whatever his name is?

Lets put it this way. He in on every tackle. In a few seconds late that is. But early enough to get #27 on TV.

He stinks
yeah but it's not like Coy Wire is anything special. He's probably better suited for linebacker than safety in terms of abilities, but he's undersized for an NFL LB.

Ellison is tiny too.

Wire can't be better than Haggan.

Playing linebacker can only improve Coy's play, judging from what's happened when he's played at safety...

Anybody see Wire playing lb on Tomlinsons 50 yd td run ?

218 lb linebackers who play behind an already small and inferior d-line don't usually fair well in the NFL.

I've never seen him make a solo tackle.

So is Crowell

Damn right I'm a hater... I cringe when I see him in at the safety position, but to play Linebacker all game is ludicrous. He was nothing short of awful yesterday, repeatedly running directly at Lorenzo Neal and getting taken out of every play...

So is Crowell
55 Crowell, Angelo LB 6-1 235 25 4
27 Wire, Coy S 6-0 205 28 5

Crowell's got 30 pounds on him still.

And by comparison, Fletcher is 245 and Spikes is 242 so Crowell is right there with them.

He told us his job is to fill a gap, wherever that may be.

I think he may succeed at the position, as it suits his hitting mentality.

dudes, Coy Wire SUCKS and thats the way it is...

I dont care if he plays quarterback for the last few games, he better be GONE after the season.

I just heard this on the news, via Jauron.

If that's the case, the best we can hope for is he comes through and plays well.

Personally, I'd put Ellison in there first.

Why not try him out as a short yardage back? With the way Willis dances around on 3rd and short situations, it couldn't hurt to try. He used to play running back at stanford.

Coy Wire was originally a LB wasn't he? I will bet ZB's he is going to surprise us.

How??? By actually making a tackle on his own?

Get Ellison in there and return Wire to his speaking at schools responsibilities.

Just because he is undersized doesn't mean he can't hit hard. Some of the biggest hitters in the game were undersized. He is a monster on Special Teams and I've seen him lay people out then, why couldn't he do the same on defense? Granted he probably won't be the next big thing, but I'm sure he can fill in and play hard.

Did you watch him at all on Sunday??? I paid close attention to him once I noticed he was out there every play and he was nothing short of awful and pretty much of no help to the team at all.

I'm sure if Coy is a liability, then Keith Ellison will be starting, the coaching staff hasn't decided yet according to twobillsdrive.com. TKO may actually take over some of Crowell's duties as well. Who knows, I'm sure we will be fine.

I do not think your unwillingness to get eyeglasses with strong lens will factor into game.
