My kid came home and wanted deep fried chicken for supper, so what the hell, ok....How long do you cook it for? I ended up cooking his for about 25 minutes. Does that sound about right? :idunno:
I do do a lot of deep-frying.

cut into it to make sure it's cooked all the way through- i always do that with chicken.
Or just cook it until the outside is black. That'll learn him.

Depends on how man pieces of chicken you did at once. I did like 8 legs a while back for about a half hour, came out fine...

I'm using my FryDaddy...had two very large thighs in for 25 minutes for the kiddo. I now have 3 drumsticks and a large thigh in there. I think 25 minutes to 1/2 hour works good. Frank thinks I'm burning it. :snicker:

Start with the oil cold, put in the chicken (frozen is fine) and heat it up for 5-10 minutes.
Beyond that is just a waste of heat.
