I was just taking a look at the salary cap status for each team...

http://espn.go.com/nfl/columns/clayton_john/1510617.html

..., and it's as of Friday. Here are the teams that even qualify w/ enough cap space to sign Price:

Team Cap status
Atlanta Falcons $10 million under
Baltimore Ravens $9.2 million under
Chicago Bears $10.5 million under
Cincinnati Bengals $8.6 million under
Dallas Cowboys $14.8 million under
Detroit Lions $7.1 million under
Houston Texans $18.2 million under
Jacksonville Jaguars $7 million under
Kansas City Chiefs $7.5 million over
Minnesota Vikings $26.2 million under
New Orleans Saints $15.4 million under
New York Jets $5.4 million under
Oakland Raiders $6 million under
Philadelphia Eagles $15.2 million under
Seattle Seahawks $12 million under

Obviously some changes have occurred since then, most notably to the N.O. and K.C.

But of those teams, those that "need a Price" are: Atlanta and Philly. Who knows if Philly is seriously considering Price or not.

Thus the risk here. If Atlanta balks, this may reach another level risk wise.

That's highly subjective wys

Price's first year cap number will be lower than $5.01 million

How much lower if he's gonna command an $8-12M SB as many think?

Even over 5 or 6 years, that'd be $2M or so in bonus bucks. Ya gotta figure that this year's salary won't be less than $1M.

But OK, even given that, which teams do you think would be enough interested in Price such that they can't wait a season or two for a draftee to develop and such that they'd readily give up a first rounder for Price?

This thread was designed to get some input there to explore our options for Price. B/c I think we can figure out when they're expired once certain teams either "don't inquire" or balk altogether.

Which teams would you include then that have the bucks and need a WR so badly?

And yes, it is largely subjective...!

So is saying that TD's done/doing a fine job so far or even that this whole "tagging of Price" is shrewd.
