I do think I saw you wearing a skirt and shaking your pom-poms though, so perhaps we isn't out of the question.

There are a ton of reasons why this game isn't sold out and probably will not sell out.

1. Sure the games have sold out up until two home games ago, but many thought this team was supposed to be better and a contender the last couple of years, not so this year. Plus, Ralph bought out a lot of the games from the last couple years when it got down to a couple thou.

2. First time in forever that we had this many December home games (always hard to sellout, remember even in the superbowl years we couldn't sell out the Oilers comeback game in one week in January.) Even people from around here really don't want to sit out in freezing weather for a team that isn't going anywhere.

3. Don't discount the Sabres effect on the Bills at the staduim. Everyone knew the Sabres were gonna be good and the Bills weren't going to be contenders. So, many people used there descretionary funds on Sabres tickets if they could and haven't really been disappointed.

4. Christmas is a week away (just wait until the Titans game on Christmas Eve, that will be difficult to get to within 10,000 of capacity). This is a week economic town and people are using their extra money on presents for family and friends.

5. For the younger generation, Miami not the rival that they feel the Patriots are. With mostly younger people having the extra money and are usually the ones buying up tickets at the last minute, they don't feel the hatred of the older generation towards this team.

6. Hardly any Dolphins fans who aren't already in this area are going to come up to attend the game in mid December. That would be just crazy for a person used to mid 70's weather to attend a game where in all likelyhood it will be below freezing. But, nobody ever called Ltfinfan sane.

Disagree. I'm well over 30 and I absolutely despise the Patsies. Yes, I used to have that kind of hatred for the Fish but since they have been sucking for years, haven't hurt us in any meaningful way since 1998, and since the Patsies have OWNED us for 6 straight years, times and hatreds shift.

When the Patsies inevitably suck and the Fish start to get better again, I will funnel that level of hatred their way once again. :)

That said, f**k the fish.

And let's not forget that fan loyalty study that has been floating around...
http://www.bizjournals.com/specials/pages/34.html

it indicates a per capita income of 34,101 in Miami vs. 29,416 in Buffalo...more disposible income might make for more seats selling out...

It also lists Miami as have a market population of over 6 million VS. 1 million + in the Buffalo area...

There are a lot of factors involved but you have to admit, if you took away the fact that you had to root for a bunch of pantywastes in teal and orange, find ways to justify the signing of Duante Crappepper, make excuses for every thug to put on a Phins uni from Bryan Cox to Ricky Williams, and justify Dan Marino's Isotoner glove commercials, the advantage in providing an enjoyable, supportable product for the fans tips to the Dolphags...

yeah the Miami game is usually the first one to sell out. What surprises me the most is that we sold out the December games last year when the team was in shambles. We're still struggling in some areas, but we've been playing well and there are a lot of young guys on this team- ie, there's reason for hope at this point whereas last year was a complete cluster****.

Unfortunately, I live 400 miles from Buffalo so it's tough to make more than 1-2 games a year- hopefully the locals will get off their asses and buy tix by tomorrow.
