The highlight films are wack. It's the same freaking replays every time, they never give the Bills any air time.

I personally love the channel. I don't have the NFL Ticket so it's nice to see all the NFL Replays... on Tuesdays... and Wednesdays... and sometimes on Thursdays...

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I've got it, but it's definitely got a lot of room for improvement.

I hear you there.

Improvement #1: Get rid of Rich Eisen.

Call me skeptical, but my suspicion is Time Warner is going to say "Thanks, but no thanks. We like screwing our customers."

Can you tell how I feel about Time Warner yet?

ditto...sometimes he tries too hard to be funny...but overall, he's pretty good :idunno:

I actually kind of like Deion more than Eisen. I think he is down right funny.

IMO he talks too much and most of the time has no clue what he's talking about. I think he's a coke head.

I guess it could be worse though. John Madden could be on the channel.

Oh GOD! Anyone but John Madden.

I stand corrected Phillip.

Show reruns of the 1993 AFC Championship game once per day.

I'm not a Time Warner fan by any stretch, but in this case the NFL is in the wrong. They demand that the NFL Network be given on the basic teir instead of in a sports package, which makes Time Warner's cost for the channel completely unreasonable.

nothing will incense the public like giving them a free week and then turning it off again without a 1-800 number to subscribe!

he is terrible on the highlight show and Deion is even worse. But I'll watch it because it is basically the only highlight show now.

Before Time Warner took over for Adelphia, customers were getting NFL Network as part of their basic package. Did Time Warner drop their rates to compensate for the lost programming?

I know both the NFL network and Time Warner waged publicity campaigns to try and blame the other guy. Neither one actually published any hard data to support their respective positions. For that, I disrespect them both. The data I saw said that the NFL network was not going to be that costly for Time Warner. If you have some hard numbers, I'll gladly reconsider my opinion. In the meantime, there are probably a good ten channels on Time Warner I have no use for. I'll gladly give up all ten for the NFL network, but don't tell me I've got to pay another $10-$15 for a package that has the NFL network plus a dozen other channels I have no interest in.

I had that deal too, with Adelphia, it included Versus and the Outdoor channel, and I watched them all! Until those bastards Time Warner dropped NFLN and VS.

congress is threatening the NFL with revoking their anti-trust exemption for their sunday ticket and NFLN asking price (they ARE asking far more for the network then other basic cable channels, and their demand it get put on basic cable is a monopolistic practice)

Congress is serious about this one, the NFLN's free weekend came in response to the move by congress... in an attempt to throw them a bone. It isn't going to work this time I'm thinking.
