ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (March 3, 2003 8:45 p.m. EST) - Tom Donahoe is only starting to address the Buffalo Bill's defensive needs.

After signing linebacker Jeff Posey on Friday, Donahoe said Monday he met with Indianapolis Colts free-agent linebacker Mike Peterson. Donahoe, the Bills' president and general manager, also is trying to set up a meeting with Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Takeo Spikes, a transitional free agent. And Donahoe said the Bills had talks with defensive tackle Sam Adams, who was cut by Oakland last month.

"The meeting (with Peterson) went well," Donahoe said. "He's got a couple more trips planned and we'll be in touch with him. We generally do not get into a lot with players (visiting several teams)."

The Bills have not made an offer to Spikes, Donahoe said.

"We do have interest in the player," he said. "We've had some discussion with the agent." ...more (http://www.sportserver.com/football/nfl/story/790474p-5651827c.html)
