View Full Version : T.O. admits spitting in DeAngelo Hall's face

Owens, who was kept out of the end zone by Falcons cornerback DeAngelo Hall when the two faced off in the 2005 opener, took care of that blemish. Owens made a 7-yard touchdown reception with a brilliant one-handed catch, then blew past Hall to haul in a 51-yarder.

T.O. toasted both scores with the same gesture. He faced the crowd with his arms outstretched _ that's the `T' _ then clasped his hands in a circle above his head _ that's an `O.'

And this being T.O., there just had to be some controversy along the way. Owens revealed afterward that he spit in Hall's face when the cornerback was jawing at him on the third play of the game.

"He had a lot of words. I didn't," Owens said. "I just wanted to come out and prove I'm a guy to be reckoned with."

Nice.

Is that an offense that's fine-able by the league?

Will somebody please get this loser out of the NFL?

Is there a bigger jackass in pro sports?

Agreed - I used to think Deion, Michael Irvin and Bryan Cox were bad but TO is definitely approaching in #1 on the a-hole list.

He's not very bright, either. Smack talking before the game last night...

Doesn't matter. He's still an a$$.

That has nothing to do with the fact that Miami is south, too. :dizzy:

He also leads the league in drops. I wouldn't be surprised if Parcells tells Jones that he ain't coaching the team next year unless this distraction gets cut.

I like TO, but wouldn't want him on my team.

The bad thing is that he admitted it. Im sure people spit on each other, then perhaps settle it, or maybe just dont make a big deal out of it. Not only did he not NOT talk about it, he admitted to it. It seems like he doesnt care one bit, which is pretty obvious when looking at the other things he has done. He doesnt have one ounce of respect for anyone else. Doesnt matter if its a super-likeable guy like McNabb or anyone else, hes out for himself and himself only.

GO SCHOBEL!

I watched the game because I had big moolah on it. I was sweating it out there for a little bit because a 3 point game was a push. Anway, I was watching the post game and I was like "holy crap" don't admit it!!!

I have mixed feelings about TO. I think he is suffereiung from some serious psychological issues. I can see it in his face. He's bi-polar for sure and needs to get medicated. He's an unbelievable talent but when you are that self-destructive it really is not a character issue but a psychological one.

The funny thing is... during an interview right after the game, they were asking him about his hand injury and he said he didn't bring it up before because he didn't want to be seen as making excuses and getting negative coverage from the media... LOL!
