JP slips into the top 10

With a passer rating of 88.5, he's leapfrogged Brady and Brunell... And settled in just behind Bulger and Rivers.

He's been one of the best QBs in the NFL since the bye... There is no denying that.

Im glad Marv wasn't reading this message board where a few "fans" were calling for JP to be benched after the bye.

if your man enough to rip someone, man up enough to say you were wrong.. My issue was mainly his lack of "intangibles" and he's clearly developing them now.

To take this a bit farther, anyone care to give us your version of a great year by JP NEXT year? Heres what Im thinking:

                450 attempts, 62% completions, 3000+ yards, 20 TD's 10 int's

That puts him in the top 10 of QB's stat wise.

I have ripped, hell we all have, it gets ridiculous sometimes. Im ALWAYS willing to say Im wrong. In fact, Im going out and backtracking on one of my main statements thus far:

I was wrong when I said the Bills dont have enough talent to be a playoff team.

I think the truth was they just werent playing like a team, and it took half the year for our QB to get it.

Now, I still believe adding playmakers will help this team. TE, WR, RB (im still very weary of McGahee). And yes, add the RIGHT guys on the line. Not more bodys just to do it, but guys that can be solid backups (make the team) or start day one

WR is one that will be hotly debated around here. Its not that our WR corp isnt good enough to me. Its that we probably dont have that #2 that will command attention and keep Evans open. But yes, Reed has played nice, Id like him as a slot guy. Peerless made some nice catches, maybe a #3. I want that explosive type guy as our #2 Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn Jr, Robert Meachem, Paul Williams.

I seriously believe we are in need of a new RB and thats our top priority. Im holding out hope that Willis will still become what we need, but Im fading fast on him. I think Mike Bush drops into the 2nd, the guy is 6' 3" 247 pounds!!!!!! and runs a 4.5 40. he has all the talent you need at RB! Im just sick of our Rb going down by the shoestrings. Imagine trying to bring this guy down.

Even if McGahee stays, whats wrong with adding a Brandon Jacobs type.

Double-digit victories, a division title and the play-off berth that goes with it.

Exactly. I could care less about stats. A good year from JP = playoffs.

edit: this is in reference to next year. This year I wanted to see development and leadership abilities. He has shown that.

I find it funny that Icee Pop backed Losman through thick and thin, then abandoned him on the side of the road around the bye, and now Losman is lighting it up. Good job Coach Ice. Your superior knowledge sure showed through didn't it? You are a great evaluator of talent, I bet the top Pop Warner team in the league will come knocking soon.
