FOXBORO - Bill Belichick (http://www.bostonherald.com/search/?searchSite=true&keyword=Bill+Belichick&mode=score&sorting=pubdate) was in no mood yesterday to respond to allegations made by CBS analyst Charley Casserly that the Patriots (http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots.bg) [team stats (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=bostonherald&page=nfl/teams/077/team.aspx?id=077)] were warned to stop using a camera to steal opposing signals.
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=8><SPACER width="8" type="block" height="8"></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> “We haven’t heard anything from the league,” Belichick said.
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=8><SPACER width="8" type="block" height="8"></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> The topic of discussion before Sunday’s game was the Dolphins’ use of audiotapes to decipher Tom Brady (http://www.bostonherald.com/search/?searchSite=true&keyword=Tom+Brady&mode=score&sorting=pubdate) [stats (http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=bostonherald&page=nfl/teams/077/playeraaa.aspx?id=678,team=077)]’s line calls in a 21-0 victory a little over a week ago. Casserly then reported that the Patriots were guilty of worse.
<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=8><SPACER width="8" type="block" height="8"></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> “The Patriots got caught doing something early in the year they weren’t supposed to be doing,” he said. “They had a man on their sideline dressed in coaching attire with a video camera who was presumably videotaping the other team’s signals. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=8><SPACER width="8" type="block" height="8"></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> Belichick disputed that characterization yesterday. <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0><TBODY><TR><TD height=8><SPACER width="8" type="block" height="8"></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> “Why don’t you go talk to Charley Casserly,” he said. “He seems to have all the answers on everything.”

It is about time they got caught. How many times did calls go their way that should not have. When you play with fire you eventually get burned.
The Pats are obviously on the decline.

Soon in the near future will present an AFC East Crown being handed to a better deserving team.

Makes you wonder how long the clown has been doing it. No wonder his teams seem to know what you are running when you run it....hummmmm....

Someone (a player) else was caught this week using a digital camera on the sidelines. Can't remember which game, but the official even called a penalty for the team that had the camera.

The NFL probally knows that they STILL do it. They probally don't care though, since the Patriots are the golden-boys of the NFL.

Glad that this came out but you can bet Charley Casserly will hear and feel reprocusions from this! NFL won't stand for having their "poster" boys made to look bad! Makes me hate BB and TB and the Patriots even more!

Is Casserly even employed by the NFL? Since he seems to be employed by CBS, does the NFL have the power to discipline him for his comments?

That mother****er.

LOL. My thoughts exactly. Although, why is this considered cheating? Every team has film, right? They can view anything they want. Is it the fact that they had a guy on the sidelines? If so, how come someone didn't think it strange that a coach (or someone pretending to be one) would be on the sideline holding a video camera?

It's funny. While they were winning SB's, people were willing to look the other way at their cheating and the favorable officiating. Now no one's ignoring it.

Here's to a new AFC East champ next year, preferrably Buffalo.

Many teams are guilty of the crime and do little things to gain a edge, it still takes execution to make it work for you.

Just goes to show that it was never Belichick's "master schemes". They've never been loaded with talent, pulling off wins with below average players. This doesn't surprise me in the least that the coaching staff probably spent more time deciphering verbal cues and signals than they did formulating these supposed "master schemes". Looks like their time as a dominant team is done...

We won't miss them.

Someone had the stomach to go back and watch the Bills-Giants SB (when Belichick was the DC) and saw the Giants' players "accidentally" kick the ball off the LOS, so as to have enough time to substitute while they respotted the ball. Belichick has been a cheater for decades. It sucks that he won ANY SB's.

Not surprised.

Even if he/they are found 'guilty' of cheating in any manner, don't look for any public disciplinary actions...the NFL takes it's integrity very seriously.

they always said that it was tough for QBs to be successful against Belichick two games in a row, I guess we now know why. Maybe that's why they've been so successful against the Colts for a majority of the time, other than the fishbone that develops in Manning's throat.
