How exactly did this happen?

John Lynch, FS <------ in the pro-bowl
68 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 4 pass deflections

Kerry Rhodes, FS <------ not in the pro-bowl
91 tackles, 4 sacks, 4 INT's, 3 forced fumbles, 9 pass defelections

Man did that kid get robbed. What a joke the pro-bowl has become.

Tarik Glenn in over Marcus McNeil huh......riiiiiiiiight.

Again, just another popularity contest. It is actually kind of depressing that teams with bigger markets get more votes. I really feel it should be voted on by coaches and press rather then fan base, but I guess that would still leave it a popularity contest.

How does Demeco Ryans get snubbed?

What a shame. Fans should have no say in pro-bowl voting at all.

How does Demeco Ryans get snubbed?

Same reason Schobel always has.

Playing in Houston hurt him. Truly unfortunate.

Fletch should have made it. But then again, NOT making the Pro Bowl will make it easier to re-sign him.

It is. 1/3 Coaches, 1/3 Players, 1/3 Fans.

He probably would've made it if Buffalo was in the NFC. Wow the QBs in the NFC sucked this year.

In one of my ff leagues, we do individual defensive players, and I just picked Rhodes up 2-3 weeks ago. He was just sitting there in FA!

typically the fans vote for the guys who should be there... it's the coaches and players who vote the names.

Last month the Bills' third-year receiver set a franchise-record with 265 yards and a career-high 11 receptions in a win over Houston. It was the top receiving performance in the NFL this season and the best in the league since Terrell Owens had 283 yards against Chicago on Dec. 17, 2000. And it was received by those who don't live near Lake Erie with a collective shrug. "I'm fond of saying what you do speaks so loudly no one can hear what you are saying," said Bills general manager Marv Levy. "Lee Evans exemplifies that. He's Marvin Harrison. He's Jerry Rice. He's Andre Reed and James Lofton. No displays. He just flips the ball to the official. He's a lot better player than some of the more flamboyant ones."

Fans vote for the players they want to see there. People get their way, and they watch.
How Al Wilson got in again over some of the guys that have been way outperforming him like Ryans and Fletcher-Baker isn't a mystery. How many people watch the Bills and Texans?

typically the fans vote for the guys who should be there... it's the coaches and players who vote the names. So they should rename the NFL the GOB - Good Old Boys league?
