If I were to take my DirecTV receiver to my in-laws, hook it up to their dish, and I have the Sunday Ticket, would I be able to watch the games there?

Yes it definately will i take my reciever to my friends house that has a old dish hooked up and it works he dont even subscribe to directv.

Your welcome. It doesnt matter as long as it has your access card in it. But remember dont hook up phone line.

They are not correct, it's based on your billing zip code. That is what's determines what local programming you get and what you see. Somebody I know lives in FL but has the card from his buddy in Buffalo. He gets all the locals from Buffalo and the programming based on 14225. It's all based on your card, not where you are.

Which is exactly what we were saying skoob. He can take his box with HIS card to his friends house and watch HIS programming with it from his friends dish.

Trust me drive. If you take YOUR box with YOUR card in that box and hook it up to thier dish you WILL get YOUR programming.

I agree. Theoretically, you should be able to just take your card and plug it into your friends box. I'm not certain of that, however, so you're best bet is to just carry the box over.

You cannot take your card to another box. The card is married to your reciever.
